Work Package 6

Comparative Analysis Skills and Demand and Supply

The overall objective of WP6 is to analyse from a comparative perspective the governance of the supply and demand of young adults’ skills in Europe. Assessing how countries and regions aim to govern the relationship (match or mismatch) between the skills offered by the young adults and the ones demanded in the labour market will help us understand if the way they are supporting the transitions of young people across education, training and the labour market are in line with their policy objectives.

For this purpose, the structures and main actors involved in the governance of skills systems and their policy orientation will be identified and evaluated, analysing the level of coordination across different areas and scales of government in the formulation and implementation of skills policies for young people. These analyses are expected to yield a typology of European modes of governance of skills supply and demand among young people, particularly of those that are more vulnerable.
